Week 26

November 28, 2016

Now that Makayla has been out in the field teaching for a while I was wondering where she is feeling she is at as a missionary.   What are some things she is working on, learning or reaching towards.
Goodness, I have so many goals, I don´t know where to start!  One in particular is to ALWAYS look up and love the Lord.  I don´t want to act out of a comparison with those around me, but out of love for the Lord.  There are many times when we see others excelling and we become discouraged with our own efforts.  On the other hand, we might slacken our work because those around us are doing the same thing.  What is important, is that we come to understand the vision that God has for each one of us.  We must learn to trust in Him perfectly, and act on the promptings of the Spirit that He sends to guide us.  Each day is full of little and big opportunities for growth!  I know with certainty that because of the Atonement of Christ, our potential as sons and daughters of God is endless!  I once learned that those who will reach the highest glory of the Celestial Kingdom, are those who learn how to USE the Atonement.  Heavenly Father´s plan is so perfect and loving!

The people of Manuas...
We met a new family this week.  We were doing contacts in the street, and we met a man named Antรณnio.  We learned that he and his wife have two sons (adults), but one passed away a few years back.  As a family, they have felt bitter about what happened, but their faith in Christ has prevailed.  It is wonderful to see good people doing their best to live life to the best that they know how.  Of course we taught them about the Plan of Salvation, and we are introducing the Restoration.  I really hope that we can help them receive that light of Christ more fully in their lives.

I sure love missionary work, and most importantly the message that ALL IS WELL through the Atonement of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  We, as members of the church, are blessed more than anyone else to have the knowledge of Him and His restored church.  How can we not share this message!

Love,

Makayla
